Baccarat Regulations
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are worth face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 and 5 produces a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A third card can be dealt depending on the following codes:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or nine, each bettors stand.
- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays eight to one but on occasion 9 to one. (This is a bad wager as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. Run away from betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are somewhat better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)
When done properly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Monitoring of previous results on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most established and probably most successful technique is the one-3-two-6 concept. This method is deployed to pump up wins and limiting risk.
commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you lose on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
