Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under ten are of their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just represent the 2 hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven as well as five gives a tally of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the foll. rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, the two gamblers stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pays eight to one but on occasion nine to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Even so odds are significantly better – 9 to one versus 8 to 1)
Played properly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with most games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future results. Keeping track of previous conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most commonly used and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-two-6 concept. This schema is deployed to build up winnings and lowering risk.
start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
