Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under 10 are counted at face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply portray the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven as well as five produces a total score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be given depending on the following regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Successful stakes on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie generally pay eight to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. abstain from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are decidedly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat provides generally good odds, away from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Staying abreast of historic outcomes on a chart is simply a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and feasibly most successful method is the one-three-2-6 method. This method is employed to amplify payouts and minimizing risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
