Baccarat Chemin de Fer Rules

Baccarat chemin de fer is enjoyed with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards under 10 are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the total of the cards, although the first digit is ignored. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a total of 1 (five plus 6 = eleven; ditch the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given depending on the rules below:

- If the player or house has a value of eight or nine, both players stay.

- If the player has less than five, she takes a card. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler holds, the bank takes a card on five or lower. If the gambler takes a card, a guide is employed to see if the house holds or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The better of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19:20 (equal money minus a 5% commission. Commission are tracked and paid off once you depart the table so be sure to still have money left over before you depart). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for a tie usually pays 8 to 1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for nine to one versus eight to one)

Played properly baccarat banque offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Scheme

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a few accepted misconceptions. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Keeping score of previous outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly the most successful scheme is the 1-3-2-6 tactic. This method is used to pump up earnings and limit risk.

Begin by placing 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. Should you win you will now have six on the game table, take away four so you are left with two on the 3rd wager. If you come away with a win on the 3rd bet, put down 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

Should you do not win on the 1st round, you take a hit of 1. A win on the initial round followed by a loss on the second causes a hit of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Winning all four wagers gives you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you are able to lose the second bet 5 times for every favorable run of 4 wagers and still are even.
