Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are counted at their printed number whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is removed. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as five will have a total score of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be played depending on the following standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie typically pay 8 to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. However odds are somewhat better – nine to one versus eight to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat presents generally good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a chart is for sure a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and almost certainly most successful technique is the one-three-2-six scheme. This technique is used to build up earnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
