Punto Banco Policies

Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below ten are valued at face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum of the cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a score of 1 (five plus six = 11; ditch the first ‘1′).

A third card may be given out depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker gets a score of 8 or nine, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has less than five, she takes a card. Players holds otherwise.

- If the player stands, the banker hits on a value lower than five. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to figure out if the house holds or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (equal money minus a five percent commission. The Rake is tracked and paid off once you leave the game so make sure you have funds left over before you head out). Winning bets on the gambler pay 1:1. Winning bets for a tie normally pays 8:1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a awful wager as a tie occurs less than one in every 10 hands. Be wary of gambling on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9:1 vs. eight to one)

Bet on correctly baccarat chemin de fer provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Method

As with all games punto banco has some general false impressions. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Recording past outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and probably the most favorable scheme is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This plan is used to pump up profits and minimizing losses.

Start by betting 1 chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a grand total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will retain six on the game table, take away four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd round. If you come away with a win on the third round, deposit two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th round.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a hit of one. A profit on the initial round followed by a loss on the second causes a loss of two. Success on the first two with a defeat on the third provides you with a profit of 2. And wins on the initial three with a loss on the 4th means you are even. Winning all 4 bets leaves you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you are able to give up the 2nd round five instances for each favorable run of four wagers and in the end, experience no loss.
