Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are worth their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they simply portray the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven … 5 gives a total score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of eight or nine, each bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pay eight to one and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. However odds are somewhat better – 9 to 1 versus eight to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat presents generally good odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Keeping track of last results on a chart is simply a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and feasibly most successful method is the one-three-2-6 scheme. This scheme is employed to boost profits and cutting back risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
