Punto Banco Regulations
Baccarat chemin de fer is gambled on with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards below 10 are valued at their printed value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the total of the two cards, however the 1st digit is discarded. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a score of one (five plus six equals eleven; ignore the 1st ‘1′).
A 3rd card may be given out depending on the following rules:
- If the player or bank has a value of 8 or 9, both players hold.
- If the player has less than 5, he takes a card. Players stays otherwise.
- If the player holds, the banker takes a card on 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a table is used to decide if the banker holds or hits.
Punto Banco Odds
The greater of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the house payout 19 to 20 (equal cash less a 5% commission. Commission are tracked and paid off when you quit the table so make sure you still have funds left over before you quit). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie usually pays out at eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a awful wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be wary of gambling on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for nine to one versus eight to one)
Bet on correctly baccarat offers generally good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Method
As with all games Baccarat has quite a few common myths. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Recording past outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.
The most accepted and likely the most successful course of action is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This method is deployed to maximize winnings and limit risk.
Start by placing one dollar. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the game table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will retain six on the table, pull off four so you keep two on the third bet. Should you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the first bet followed by a loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the initial two with a hit on the 3rd provides you with a profit of 2. And wins on the 1st 3 with a defeat on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all four wagers gives you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you can give up the 2nd bet 5 instances for each favorable streak of 4 rounds and still experience no loss.
