Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are said to be worth face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just appear as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven … five has a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be given depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the player or banker has a value of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have money left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie commonly pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to one. (This is a bad bet as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are significantly better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)

When played correctly, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Monitoring of previous conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-6 method. This tactic is employed to maximize successes and minimizing risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
