Baccarat Chemin de Fer Codes

Baccarat banque is gambled on with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are counted at their printed value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the total of the cards, although the first digit is ignored. For instance, a hand of five and six has a total of one (five plus six equals 11; ditch the first ‘one’).

A third card can be dealt using the rules below:

- If the gambler or bank has a score of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has less than 5, she hits. Players holds otherwise.

- If the gambler holds, the banker hits on five or less. If the gambler hits, a guide is used to determine if the house holds or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19:20 (even money less a 5% commission. The Rake is tracked and cleared out once you leave the game so make sure you have money around just before you depart). Winning bets on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning bets for a tie usually pays 8 to 1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen less than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

Wagered on properly baccarat banque gives pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Method

As with all games punto banco has a handful of familiar misconceptions. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Recording past results at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary needs.

The most familiar and possibly the most accomplished plan is the one, three, two, six plan. This method is employed to maximize winnings and minimizing risk.

Start by placing 1 unit. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a total of three dollars on the second bet. If you succeed you will now have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you keep two on the 3rd round. If you win the third bet, add two on the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you do not win on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the initial bet followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the initial 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning all 4 rounds leaves you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you can squander the second bet five instances for every favorable streak of 4 wagers and in the end, are even.
