Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are counted at their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply depict the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 and five will have a score of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at 8 to 1 and occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. However odds are especially better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

Played smartly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future events. Keeping track of old conclusions on a chart is for sure a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and possibly most successful technique is the 1-three-two-six method. This tactic is used to magnify earnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
