Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under 10 are of face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they purely symbolize the two hands to be played).
2 hands of two cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of 7 and five produces a tally of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card might be played depending on the foll. rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both bettors stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie customarily pay 8 to one and sometimes nine to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. However odds are certainly better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)
Played accurately, baccarat provides generally decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Tracking of prior conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most established and possibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-six concept. This technique is used to maximize payouts and minimizing risk.
commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth gamble.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
